Good things to come.

You know good things are on the way when our Mountain Forecaster calls for “periods of snow daily” starting today through the rest of this week. The 3-5” that settled last night and today is just a taste compared to the foot of snow forecasted to land between now and Thursday. If that wasn’t enough to sway your weekend plans, more snow is forecasted to land Friday into next week.

More Snowy news:

Snowmakers are back at it tonight and will run late afternoon through morning every day this week resurfacing trails and deepening base depths for the upcoming holiday weeks.  As a rule, we try not and run on open trails while guests are skiing and riding, and we don’t want to close trails given the current counts.  If the snow comes in as forecasted, expect a significant increase in counts as we get into the holiday week.  Stay tuned for more info daily as trail counts expand.

Today, ski or ride on 31 trails serviced by 8 lifts scheduled to spin. Upper Mountain lifts including, the Jet Triple, the Bonaventure Quad, and Vermont’s only Aerial Tramway, are slated to spin at 9:00 AM. Lower mountain lifts, including the Taxi Quad, Metro Quad, Stateside Moving Carpet, Tramside Moving Carpet, and Village Double are scheduled to spin at 8:30AM. As always, last chair for all lifts is at 4:00PM.

Lift tickets for adults (19+) are $79 and kids 6-18 are $62. Tickets can be purchased at both Stateside and Tramside Customer Service Locations.

My words

Jay Peak

The day starts, im loking up the bonnie
The top of Lift Line is looking rather scrawny
Wind howls at the summit of the mighty Jay Peak
I am here because fear and excitement is what I seek
Down the chutes I go and then into Canyon Land
Making my way to the jet after a run that was grand
I stand in front of Timbuktu; the trees are O so tight
I think this much powder in the East is a rare sight
On my last rin I hit up Andres Paridise and Poma Line
For it is the trees and moguls that makes this resort so fine
The Jay Cloud; You brought me endless powder days
I thank you for this but its is the resort that I praise.
