Over a foot of new snow in a week can drastically change things here on the mountain. Of that foot, 2-4" dropped yesterday before first chair. With that little bit, we have officially matched our previous season’s total at 208”. Being that it’s only January, we suspect to beat last year’s number by a bit.

Overnight our Groomers were able to turn all this new snow into our trails, what they left behind will likely be regarded as some of the best corduroy we've yet to see this season.

Today, we hope to ski and ride on 73 trails serviced by 8 of our 9 lifts. Our routine Tram maintenance continues this morning; we're hopeful to see it loading passengers today. Upper mountain lifts start spinning at 9:00 AM, just after lower mountain lifts start the day at 8:30 AM. As always, last chair for all lifts is at 4:00 PM.

Parks will be on a delayed opening this morning, as our Park Crew is puting the finishing touches on a couple features.

My Past, Present and Future

There's not a memory from Jay that doesn't make me smile. From arriving at Hotel Jay late at night in a snow storm, being greeted by name by the staff who felt like family, the first time with my ski class in the glades that I hugged a pine tree, being asked to appear in a ski clothing photo shoot, taking a snowboard lesson with my dad after I BEGGED him, my first taste of Ben & Jerry's Phish food, helping my sister up the T-bar and watching her first ride up on her own, the first time I was allowed to drive up 242 after I got my license, my first adult beverage in the International Room for the visitor welcome party and above and beyond that, how much I learned and loved ski school. This is a photo of my last ski school report card from 1993, as well as part of my current business card...because of my experience of being Raised Jay, I have found my calling at a well-known resort in Colorado where I hope to give families the same amazing memories Jay gave my family.
