Mostly Sunny.

We have 14 open trails this afternoon and they are riding great. We spun a few on the Jet Triple just now and found a ton of soft snow on the Jet and Haynes trails, and had an adventurous time goat-pathing (made that word up) our way through Kitz Woods. See what you can find and come enjoy some sunshine with us; temps are in the low-70s with mostly sunny skies.

Groomers are still tilling and re-tilling on a nightly basis; their efforts to preserve our base will have us riding into next month (see below). We plan to run the Jet Triple at 9:00 AM, and the Taxi Quad at 8:30 AM. Last chair today is at 4:00 PM.

With just shy of 500 inches of snow for the season, we are now one of only two resorts in Vermont still spinning the lifts seven days a week. And despite warm temps and the occasional sogginess, we expect to keep skiing and riding until May 7 (maybe even longer depending on if any of us up here are still standing and can turn on the lifts.)

End of season lift tickets are currently $35 for Juniors ages 6-18 and $49 for Adults ages 19+.

TRAM AND SPRING LIFT UPDATE: The Tram has closed for the winter season. The upgrade project is underway and the Tram is scheduled to re-open this summer. Stay tuned for video updates of the $5 million project throughout the spring. As for the rest of the lifts on Tramside......they're closed too. The Stateside area of the resort will remain open seven days a week until....well, until we're tired of skiing and riding.

Looking to stay with us? Spring lodging rates are $115 for 2 people and $135 for family of 4.These are valid April 27-29 and May 5-6. Give a call to our Reservations Team at 800-451-4449 to learn more.

The Proposal

My boyfriend Jesse popping the question in 47" of powder in the Stateside Glade. Amazing powder day, amazing birthday surprise.

The Best Day of My Life (so far.)

Jay Peak is my home mountain, even though I live 3.5 hours away. Every weekend for the past three years, my friends and I have made the trek up to the Northeast Kingdom for epic skiing and great times at the Tower Bar. The weekend of February 25, 2012 was no exception, the whole crew headed up to Jay to celebrate my 28th birthday. Little did I know, it was going to be the best birthday ever. Not only was it an amazing powder day, but my then boyfriend Jesse had a huge surprise in store for me. He made sure everybody met at the Bonny at 3:00. We headed down the mountain, meeting in the Stateside Glade under the guise of "taking a group photo." All of a sudden, Jesse was down on one knee. He had been carrying the ring in his coat all day. Of course, I said yes, and he busted out a bottle of champagne he had been carrying around in his backpack. All of our friends had been in on it for weeks. We all celebrated with an amazing dinner at The Foundry, a perfect ending to a perfect day.
