The last day of every ski & ride season is always bittersweet. Reminiscing of all the powder, laughter, and smile-filled days on the hill, while simultaneously getting ready for summer and what’s to come. Let’s face it, there’s a part of us already thinking about next season. Whether it’s daydreaming about new gear, new experiences, or even a new mountain to check out, the powder-junky in all of us is always at the ready. That being said, thanks for joining us for a great season here in Northern Vermont. This marks the 154th consecutive day of operations here at Jay Peak, and the 9th year in a row we’ve kept the lifts spinning into May. Mother Nature delivered this year too, in the form of 491” of natural snow. That’s over FORTY FEET of fluff, re-affirming our title as the resort with the most snow on the East Coast. And that’s not even counting the man-made courtesy of Snowmaking.  We hope you enjoy a fun-filled summer, and when it’s time to dust off the skis or Skol to Ullr, we’ll be right there with you.

TRAM  UPDATE: The upgrade project is underway and the Tram is scheduled to re-open this summer. Stay tuned for video updates of the $5 million project throughout the spring.

Policies, Deposits, and Cancellations

DEPOSITS

Jay Peak requires a 50% deposit of the total value of the reservation to guarantee the reservation. 
A credit card is required at check in for all reservations for a $50/day incidental authorization.  It is recommended that Credit Cards (NOT debit cards) are used for these authorizations.  Authorizations will be released within 48 hours of departure.  (If debit cards are used, we can not guarantee a timely release of the authorization as this is controlled by the issuing bank.)

RESORT SERVICE FEE

A nightly resort service fee will be applied to your total balance upon check out. This resort fee will not be reflected in your package total, but will accrue during your stay and will be billable upon your departure.

DEPOSITS AND PAYMENTS FOR CANADIANS

All credit card transactions are charged in US funds so when your 50% deposit is taken on your CDN credit card, it will be automatically converted from US to CDN at whatever rate your credit card company is using. To make sure you get an at par rate (when applicable, i.e. the 50% balance due at check in), you must pay in Canadian Cash, Certified Check or Money Order. Valid Canadian ID required for at par payments. **Adjustments on exchange will not be made if proper form of payment is not given or if you pay with a credit card.

CANCELLATION POLICY

SPRING & FALL CANCELLATIONS
For reservations staying April 1st through December 14th each year.
Advanced deposits are non-refundable if you cancel your booking within 14 days of arrival. Changing or shortening a stay within 14 days of your scheduled arrival day will result in penalty charges of 50% of the night changed or dropped. Cancellations more than fourteen days prior to arrival will be refunded less a $25 processing fee.

WINTER CANCELLATIONS
For reservations staying December 15th through March 31st each year.
Cancellations more than 30 days prior to arrival will be refunded less a $25 processing fee. Cancellations, changes or shortening a stay between 14 to 30 days prior to arrival will result in penalty charges of 25% of the reservation value or days dropped. Changing or shortening a stay within 14 days of your scheduled arrival day will result in penalty charges of 50% of the reservation value or days dropped. Advanced deposits are non-refundable if you cancel your booking within 14 days of arrival.

CHECK-IN AND CHECK-OUT DETAILS

Hotel check-in is after 4pm. Check-in for Cottages, Condos and Townhouses is after 5pm. Check-out time for all resort guests is 11am.  The primary guest must be at least 18 years of age to check into any accommodations at Jay Peak Resort.  

HOUSEKEEPING 

Resort accommodations have been designed with the environment in mind. Additionally, we strive to reduce our water and electricity consumption, offering standard housekeeping service as follows:

  • Hotel Jay – Cleaned daily.
  • Tram Haus Lodge – Cleaned daily.
  • Stateside Hotel – Cleaned every 2nd day.
  • Cottages, Condominiums, and Townhouses – Cleaned every 7 days.

If you should need supplies replenished outside of regularly scheduled housekeeping service days, please call the Hotel Front Desk and we’ll be happy to deliver (please note, additional cleaning service requests will incur additional fees).

 

NO-SMOKING POLICY

Smoking is not permitted in any properties managed by Jay Peak Resort. Violations will be subject to penalties of a minimum of $300.       

PET POLICY

Pets are not permitted in any properties managed by Jay Peak Resort. Violations will be subject to fines of $100/day and a $250 deep clean fee at check out or eviction.
