Partly Sunny.

Jay Peak is the place to be this week after getting pummelled by snow for the past month. The sun has been dipping in and out of the clouds today, but we think if keep your face pointed upwards, you may be able to pull a little goggle tan out of the day.

Groomed terrain this morning will be a nice loose granular consistency that you’ll definitely be able to sink an edge into. Glades may have seen a bit of a firming overnight from these cold temps, but later in the day, we may see just about everything soften up in the sun.

After a bunch of hard work, Lower Can-Am has been flattened out and is expected to open back up this morning. With the re-opening of this trail, we will be back to being 100% open.

Today, ski and ride on 78 trails serviced by all 9 of our lifts. Upper mountain lifts started to spin at 8:30 AM, just after lower mountain lifts started the day at 8:00 AM. As always, last chair for all lifts is at 4:00 PM.

Kids Programs (Ages 3-12)

Jay Peak loves kids and kids love Jay Peak. Our kids programs are specifically designed for 3-12 year old skiers and snowboarders at every ability or interest level.

AGES 3-5 | Kinders & Riglets *Children enrolled must be completely bathroom independent and able to communicate their needs*
These lessons happen in smaller groups and are broken up by ability level. Any level skier of snowboarder are welcome in the Kinder and Riglet program. Based on conditions at the mountain and the child’s ability level these lessons are split between time spent inside on our indoor equipment, including a carpeted ski/ride ramp and the remainder of the time is spent outdoors.

AGES 6-12 | Jay Explorers
Kids ages 6-12 experience a variety of terrain choices; from our sculpted learning terrain to our world class tree skiing and riding. Groups are split up based on ability level.

Early Drop-Off & Late Pick-Up Program (Ages 3-12)
New for the 2016-17 season you can now drop off and/or pick up your children early or late. If you are looking to get on snow faster in the morning or stay out until last chair, allow us to watch your child before their lesson starts. Space is limited and reservations are required.

All lessons include time for snacks/warm up breaks when necessary and lunch is included in the Full Day program.

Let us help you figure out your child's ability level at Jay Peak with our What To Expect Guide.
