Clouds in the AM. Snow in the PM

Today will be the calm before the storm. Increasingly cloudy skies with temps in the upper 20s and low 30s will give way to snow tonight and by the time this latest storm has left town, we could have a half a foot on the mountain. Sunshine will follow the snow and we're looking at blue skies and temps in the 30s for the weekend.

As to our immediate future, 8 of 9 lifts are currently spinning servicing 65 trails. The tram will be closed as the crew performs some routine maintenance, but Patrol is allowing hiking up the Northway from the top of the Flyer so you can access the summit. Snowmaking wrapped up on the Vermonter trail late yesterday and just opened.

Last chair is at 4:00 PM.

UPCOMING EVENTS:

Tuesday means it's Trivia Night at the Tower Bar from 7:00-9:00 PM.

8-Week Program (Ages 3-17)

The goal of Jay Peak’s 8-Week Program is to provide a safe and fun environment in which young skiers and riders can have fun, learn and improve the skills that will allow them to be snow sports enthusiasts for life. Our Weekly Learning Themes center on topics including using ski/board edges, turn shape, balance, stance and exploration of new terrain. Each week will feature a concentration on a new aspect of skiing/riding.

Each class will provide a mixture of instruction, exploration and free ski/ride time all under the supervision of our experienced instructors. The 8-Week Program is open to children ages 3 to 17 of any ability level.
