The last day of every ski & ride season is always bittersweet. Reminiscing of all the powder, laughter, and smile-filled days on the hill, while simultaneously getting ready for summer and what’s to come. Let’s face it, there’s a part of us already thinking about next season. Whether it’s daydreaming about new gear, new experiences, or even a new mountain to check out, the powder-junky in all of us is always at the ready. That being said, thanks for joining us for a great season here in Northern Vermont. This marks the 154th consecutive day of operations here at Jay Peak, and the 9th year in a row we’ve kept the lifts spinning into May. Mother Nature delivered this year too, in the form of 491” of natural snow. That’s over FORTY FEET of fluff, re-affirming our title as the resort with the most snow on the East Coast. And that’s not even counting the man-made courtesy of Snowmaking.  We hope you enjoy a fun-filled summer, and when it’s time to dust off the skis or Skol to Ullr, we’ll be right there with you.

TRAM  UPDATE: The upgrade project is underway and the Tram is scheduled to re-open this summer. Stay tuned for video updates of the $5 million project throughout the spring.

Private Lessons (All Ages)

There is nothing like the one-on-one attention of our private lessons. Get immediate feedback and personalized instruction from our best coaches. Those looking for a quick brush-up on intermediate or advanced skills may look to our 1-Hour Refresher, while our multi-hour privates are geared towards learning or honing skills. Private lessons are for all ages and all ability levels.

2016+17 PRIVATE LESSONS

1-Hour Refresher: $85 - $105

Great for young children or if you know what you’re doing but don’t go too often, the 1-Hour Refresher is designed for you. We all know how quickly an hour passes on the hill - expect enough time for 1 to 3 runs with your coach. Add up to 2 additional people for $35 per person.

2-Hour Private - $195

If you are ready to take your days on the mountain to the next level, the 2-Hour Private is where the progression starts. Add up to 5 additional people for $70 per person.

Half Day Private (3hrs) - $275

The extra time allows the coach to understand you as a skier or rider and give personalized feedback while also having time to watch you progress and tweak the results. Add up to 5 additional people for $70 per person.

Full Day Private (6hrs) - $470

Spend six hours immersed in exploring new terrain and progressing through the sport. Your coach and guide will teach you all you need to know to get to the next level or find the hidden gems of Jay. The more you book, the more you save - we give you a price break on every consecutive Full Day Private you book. Add up to 5 additional people for $70 per person.

First Tracks (1.5hrs) - $50

Every day at 8:30am you can jump in on this semi-private clinic and get into the best early morning spots before anyone else. For intermediate and advanced skiers and snowboarders, our top ski and snowboard instructors and trainers will get your day started right. Monday through Friday the first half hour is spent warming up on the lower mountain until the upper mountain lifts open at 9:00. Space is limited, reserve your spot today. Meets at the base of the Taxi Quad chairlift in Stateside base area.

PRICING & STARTING TIMES

**END OF THE SEASON SCHEDULE**

  • Monday – Friday through 4/14: Pre-booked only kid’s (3-12) semi-privates and privates lessons for all ages and abilities; day of lessons are sold based on availability.
  • Semi-private lessons meet at 8:45 and 12:45 each day mid-week.
  • Private lessons are booked to specific times.
  • 4/17 on: Pre-booked private and kids semi-private lessons only - based on availability and open ski terrain.

**Lessons can be purchased day of but are sold based on availability. Except for the 11:15 non-chair rider group lessons these products will all be staffed only once a product is sold so pre-registration is strongly recommended and guests should be advised to call our reservation line at 802-988-2737.**

Private lessons outside the below start times are possible but based on instructor availability. You must contact the Ski & Ride School Desk in the Stateside Lodge to purchase day-of private lessons.

CANCELLATION POLICY

Reservations will be charged in full when booked but are completely refundable if cancelled at least 24 hours prior to your lesson. Otherwise, no refunds will be issued.
