Sunny.

The clock is ticking for the epic season that was 2016-2017, but it's not over yet. On the very short list of open slopes, Jay Peak made the cut. We hope to be riding out this week, and going as far past it as we can, snowpack permitting.

Temps are already nearing 40F at the base and the sun is booming. Our Grooming teams focused their efforts on lower mountain trails during their shift, so we expect some of the terrain up top to have a thin layer of crust this morning.

Today we plan to have the Jet Triple and Taxi Quad open, along with 23 trails. The Jet is slated for a 9:00 AM start, while the Taxi should be going around 8:30 AM. Last chair today will be at 4:00 PM.

End of season lift tickets are currently $35 for Juniors ages 6-18 and $49 for Adults ages 19+.

TRAM AND SPRING LIFT UPDATE: The Tram is officially closed for the winter season. The upgrade project is underway and the Tram is scheduled to re-open this summer. Stay tuned for video updates of the $5 million project throughout the spring. As for the rest of the lifts on Tramside......they're closed too.. The Stateside area of the resort will remain open seven days a week until....well, until we're tired of skiing and riding. With close to 500 inches of snow this season, we'll be taking the season out into May.

Looking to stay with us? Spring lodging rates are $115 for 2 people and $135 for family of 4.These are valid April 27-29 and May 5-6. Give a call to our Reservations Team at 800-451-4449 to learn more.

Raised Jay: Wilderness Camp

View/Hide Photos

A continuation of what it means to be Raised Jay, your teens will experience a 3-day adventure trip in the forests surrounding Jay Peak. Shelter building, water & food procurement, map & compass orientation, and proper backpacking techniques, will just be a taste of the adventure. The trip lasts 3 days and will be staffed by Jay Peak & Lynx Mountain Guides of Vermont; co-leading the Wilderness adventure. Lynx is well-versed in environmental education, outdoor safety, and having as much fun as humanly possible.

Ages: 12-16

Where: Meet at the Mountain Kids Adventure Center at Noon for a brief introduction before heading outside. The first half day will be spent learning backpacking skills and etiquette, topped with a night in the Jay Peak woods. The next three days will consist of teams of up to 8 teens, hiking the section of the Long Trail that crests the summit of Jay Peak. Sleeping arrangements will be outside in a combination of manmade shelters, tents, and possibly even under the stars (weather dependent).

$455 per child ($425 for second child, if purchasing for more than one)
