Snowy morning.

It started snowing again right around 5:00 AM this morning and we picked-up a quick inch before things died down at 7:00 AM. The bigger news is the 6" we expect by Friday, which will be a nice addition to the 33" we've received so far this week.

We have picked up close to THREE FEET of new snow in the last week and the mountain's skiing and riding like mid-winter. If you haven't made the trip up yet, it's worth the drive. We'll be expanding our terrain offerings today to include beginner and novice trails with the opening of the Taxi quad and the Stateside moving carpet. With those lifts come trails for all ability levels.

NOTE: The Haynes will be closed to the public this afternoon to allow for race training. If you want those turns, get them in the morning.

ANOTHER NOTE: The Queen's Highway is now open so you can ski/ride from Stateside to Tramside. You just have to take a shuttle back to Stateside as Perry Merrill has yet to open.

The snowmakers made their way up to Montrealer yesterday and plan to be there through Thursday. After they've buried that trail, their focus will turn to connecting Stateside and Tramside. Stay tuned later in the week for more info on that.

The Jet triple, Taxi quad and Stateside moving carpet started spinning at 9:00 AM this morning and last chair is scheduled for 4:00 PM.

THE JOB

  • Routinely post materials provided by Jay Peak to inform student body of upcoming events and prices. We recommend doing this both on and off campus.
  • Consistently host a table each week during college pass sales, offer students information and opportunities to purchase a pass. Jay Peak will provide materials.
  • Update Jay Peak sales team on the number of upcoming events where Jay Peak could be involved.
  • Attend events on campus sponsored by Jay Peak.
  • Personally organize events on campus.
  • Seek out opportunities to advertise on campus (school paper, Facebook, movie premiers, mass emailing, Twitter, mail boxes, radio, club meetings, promotion table in student union, etc.)
  • Identify area business and brands that we can partner with.
  • Stay in weekly contact with the Jay Peak College Rep Coordinator, provide a weekly update on events attended, progress of sales and general vibe on campus
  • Accurately maintain a record of pass sales and inventory of supplies.
