REPORTABLE INJURIES
If you become injured while at work, accurate & immediate reporting will benefit you directly by ensuring IMMEDIATE MEDICAL ATTENTION, MINIMIZING THE CHANCE OF FURTHER INJURY, SAFER WORK ENVIRONMENT & CONTINUITY OF EMPLOYMENT
WHAT STEPS SHOULD I TAKE?
-
You must report the injury to your Manager/Supervisor within the shift your injury occurred.
-
Your Manager will complete the Jay Peak Injury Report and Analysis Form with you and email it to injuryreport@jaypeakresort.com on the same day the injury occurred.
-
If immediate medical attention is needed call 911 and contact Security on Channel 1 or 802-323-6523.
-
It is the responsibility of the Department Supervisor/Manager to accompany you to Ski Patrol should you get treated there.
-
If the injury is not an emergency but requires more than first aid, you will be directed to Northwestern Occupational Health, in St. Albans, VT.
-
This season, the Resort Shuttle System will not be operational. Therefore, more than ever, it is the responsibility of the Department Supervisor/Manager to arrange transportation if you are unable to drive yourself to the Northwestern Occupational (links below).
***Special Note: Per Northwestern Occupational Health, only the patient is allowed into the office. All patients must wear a surgical mask, which are provided at the door. -
Following each visit to doctor/hospital/medical exam, you must provide the Risk Management Specialist with updated medical restriction documents.
-
The goal is to return you to your pre-injury state of health and your regular position with Jay Peak Inc. as soon as possible.
