Fun facts about Prince: he's got his own shade of purple and wrote songs for The Bengals, Sinead O'Connor, Shelia E., Chaka Kahn, and more. He also kept it very real and shot Michael Jackson down after he wrote "Bad" to be a duet for the pair to perform.

Formed out of love for Prince and his music, “Purple” has been fronted by renowned house DJ, Craig Mitchell, since the band’s inception during Burlington’s Discover Jazz Festival in 2010. The band has has included various members over the years, featuring some of The Queen City’s funkiest musicians. Join PURPLE as they weave through Prince’s extensive catalogue of hits and deep cuts. To quote the man of the hour, "Ain't nothin' like funky music."
