Light Rain.

If you braved the weather yesterday, cheers to you; today is already a lot better. Temps are hovering in the low-40s with light rain on and off. Trails are much softer than yesterday, regardless of grooming. Throw on your raincoat and get out there for some cream cheesy goodness.

Grooming crews did another light duty shift in an effort not to punch too deep into our snowpack. Even with these warmer temps, our base is looking great, as it should after 463" of snow this season.

Patrol just dropped the ropes on all of our closed trails, or in other words, we're back to 100%. All 9 of our lifts are now running, as well. As always, last chair for all lifts is at 4:00 PM.

Open Invitation

Thinking of joining the Team? We invite you and your family to come out on Saturday, December 17th and Sunday, December 18th to meet the Team and Coaches and partake in an optional FREE 1-Hr Video Session. This is a great opportunity to meet not just coaches but the other families on the team and really get a feel for the program. We will also be available to field and questions or hear your comments. We Hope to see you there.

Whether you’re racing the tram to the bottom, blasting through the trees beyond Beaver or tweaking your latest tricks in the parks, our professional coaches will help you develop personal goals and sharpen skills both as a team and individuals. Experience challenging new lines, powder stashes in the trees, hard carves on morning corduroy, laps in the park or new ways to approach natural features. If competing interests you, our coaches have years of competition experience, judging and training competitors – they’re ready to bring that knowledge to the team.

Learning A Lifestyle

The team will meet for a total of 12 weekend sessions throughout the season. Our weekly meets will cover everything from terrain park sessions to technical glade riding. The Jay Peak lifestyle exists beyond the mountain and Free-Ride & Free-Ski Team members don't just call it a day when the boots come off. This season we have a handful of off-hill events in addition to on-resort extra curriculars and other surprises.

The program itself is 12 weekends long and will begin December 31st/January 1st and run through March 18th/19th from 8:30am to 3pm.

  • Free 1-Hour Video Assessment: December 17th OR 18th (your choice)
  • Make-Up Weekend: March 25th/26th (if necessary)
  • Drop-off is at 8:30am and Pick-up is at 3pm daily.
