Jay Peak Resort Brings Winter to Summer with Second Annual Solstice Sessions, Now a Vermont Signature Event
JAY PEAK, Vt. — (April 28, 2025) — Jay Peak Resort will host the Second Annual Solstice Sessions event on Saturday, June 21, celebrating the week of Summer Solstice by blending elements of both winter (yes, skiing and snowboarding) and summer. Recently designated as one of Vermont’s few “Signature Events” by the Vermont Chamber of Commerce, Solstice Sessions will feature live music, skiing, snowboarding, skateboarding, and a multisport atmosphere at the Stateside base area.
On-snow activities will take place adjacent to the Amphitheater, where snow preserved from the winter season will be used to build a terrain park serviced by the Stateside Carpet. Features will include boxes and rails for sessioning, as well as skateboarding elements nearby. A limited number of tickets will be available for 3-hour blocks or the full day.
Round Trip Band and a Battle of the Bands competition begins at noon and runs through 11 p.m. in the Stateside Amphitheater area. More acts will be announced in the weeks ahead. A portion of music ticket sales will be donated to Montgomery Smiles, a non-profit organization based in Montgomery, Vermont.
Concert-only tickets are available for all ages with advanced purchase for $15 and $25 if purchased on the day of the event. Children ages seven and under are free with a ticketed adult.
A limited number of on-snow tickets, which include concert access, will be available in 3-hour blocks or for full-day access at the following rates:
- $125 – Full-Day Lift Ticket (Noon–6 PM)
- $75 – 3-Hour Lift Ticket (Noon–3 PM)
- $75 – 3-Hour Lift Ticket (3 PM–6 PM)
On-snow tickets are required for all ages. Please note children seven and under are not free for this portion of the event and will need an on-snow ticket. Lodging packages are available at the Stateside Hotel and in Jay Peak's Cottages. Overnight camping is not permitted anywhere on Jay Peak property, including the 242 parking lot.
The Stateside Amphitheater is a rain-or-shine venue with a 3,000-person capacity and offers orchestra pit seating, stadium seats and lawn areas. ADA seating is available throughout. Concert guests are free to exit and re-enter the amphitheater until 7:00 p.m. After 7 p.m., there is no re-entry.
Food and beverage vendors, restroom facilities, and shuttle services will be available throughout the venue and resort. Parking is first-come, first-served at the Stateside lot, with overflow parking available at the Lower 242 lot. Complimentary shuttle service will be provided between lots and resort areas.
