The Sky isn’t so dark or faded here as we say goodbye to the 2016-2017 season-one that will be remembered for many things, not the least of which is a fantastic bounce back in terms of natural snow (491”), the beginnings of an upgraded Aerial Tram, snowmaking improvements, a record setting number of weddings and hockey events and, most importantly, you all sticking with us. We started off with a challenging spring a little more than a year ago and when we most needed the support of those who consider themselves Raised Jay, either in person or in spirit, you were there for us. This note is in acknowledgment and appreciation of that and to let you know that, moving forward, we’re going to do everything in our power to continue to earn your business and that support.
Our summer is already underway here with the final steps of our Tram upgrade being taken which should be completed by the first of July or thereabouts. We have additional snowmaking upgrades planned for this summer, the finishing of our Golf and Mountain Cottages project, new employee housing and the beginning of our Stateside Recreation Center project which will include more than a dozen climbing walls, indoor movie theater and ropes courses. We will also begin the permitting process for two new synthetic turf recreation fields that will be home to soccer, lacrosse and field hockey camps and tournaments beginning sometime in 2018. Along with this forward progress, we have a full slate of weddings, conferences, hockey camps and tournaments, our Jay Peak Championship Golf Course and our Pumphouse Indoor Waterpark happening all summer long. We hope you get a chance to come up and see us.
