Sweet Traditions, Shared Roots: Temps des Sucres Returns to Jay Peak for Second Annual Maple Celebration
JAY PEAK, Vt. (Feb. 16, 2026) – Jay Peak Resort is welcoming the return of Temps des Sucres Weekends for its second annual celebration of Vermont’s maple sugaring season and the shared cultural traditions that connect Northern Vermont with its Canadian neighbors.
Taking place across four consecutive weekends—March 28-29, April 4-5, April 11-12, and April 18-19, 2026—the event invites guests to celebrate spring the old-fashioned way: with maple treats, horse-drawn rides, live music, and time well spent together.
Each Saturday, Tramside Base transforms into a sugaring season gathering place. Scenic horse-drawn carriage rides will run from Tramside to the Clubhouse Grille from 12 p.m. to 6 p.m., offering guests a relaxed tour through the lingering snowpack and emerging signs of spring. At the Clubhouse, a local maple sugar maker will serve traditional sugar-on-snow treats throughout the afternoon.Live music takes over Alice’s Patio from 4 p.m. to 7 p.m., with the Seth Yacovone Band delivering a weekly outdoor performance that carries the celebration into the evening.
On Sundays, guests can settle in for a maple-inspired brunch at Alice’s Table from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. The seasonal menu is included with all Temps des Sucres lodging packages, and walk-up guests are welcome to attend.
“Temps des Sucres is about honoring traditions that run deep on both sides of the border,” said Ted Fleischer, Jay Peak’s Event Manager. “Maple season has always been a marker of spring here. This event gives families a way to celebrate that together—on the snow, at the table, and out in the fresh air.”
To make a weekend of it, Jay Peak is offering discounted lodging packages with savings of up to 40 percent. Packages bundle together the essentials—lodging, events, brunch, and your choice of on-mountain fun—so guests can customize their stay without overcomplicating it.
