Why choose Jay

The Jay Way is an uncommon take. It’s easy to follow but tougher to fake.

It’s seniors and juniors and never before's. It’s powder and puddles and not needing more.

Just do what you say, then say what you do. Your friends might not get it, but that’s ok too. You’re much better looking and much smarter too.

It’s here when you’re ready, this ground you can walk. It doesn’t take luggage but pack some good socks.

Cause when it’s all said, it still isn’t done. You’ll meet uncommon people and have uncommon fun.

It will unfold before you this season, this day. Maybe you’ll join us, it's this way to Jay.

Introducing a Mountain Unlike any other

If you ask a Jay regular what makes this mountain special, they'll probably start with the view from Vermont's only Aerial Tram, the rugged elegance of the championship golf course, or the way the mountain seems to stretch on forever once you start exploring. Don't be surprised if you hear stories about favorite hiking routes, hidden swimming holes nearby, or the best spot to catch a sunset followed by a wood-fired pizza. Space it out all you want, or bring it all together by squeezing a golf round, the waterpark, and a Tram ride into the same day. Stick around long enough, and you'll learn that no two days here tend to look exactly alike. But there's only one thing better than hearing about what makes Jay special: Getting out there and experiencing it for yourself.

Covering our Bases. Get to know our different sides.

One of the most important things to know about Jay is that we actually have two base areas: Stateside and Tramside. Not sure which to choose? Truth is, you can't really go wrong. Tramside is home to the Pump House Indoor Waterpark, Vermont's only Aerial Tram, restaurants, lodging, and plenty of ways to fill a day without checking the forecast too closely. Stateside is where you'll find Clips & Reels Recreation Center, the Stateside Amphitheater and Summer Music Series, hiking access, lodging, dining, and a little more room to spread out. Our advice? While you could easily spend a day, or much more, exploring one side or the other, be sure to make time to check 'em both out.

Stateside Hotel Summer

Stateside

Stateside Hotel and Base Lodge, offers a reimagined vision of where our past is passed. Presented forward to a new generation of Jay Peakers, of Raised Jayers, through stories, personalities, and memories from the local side. A side of sight and smell and sound unique even to a place like Jay Peak.

We've added rooms, not suites, a diner, not a restaurant, a gear shop, not a boutique, and a bar big enough to house part of an actual bus (our first shuttle), a Bullwheel (of T-bar fame), and views big enough to look into our future.

If you're the type who wants a place to rest your head between doing all the rest, the Stateside Hotel is for you. Comfortable beds, bathrooms, air conditioning, mini-refrigerators, and mountain or valley views that catch the sunrise and sunset dipping over the peak. Just steps from our Summer Music Series at the Stateside Amphitheater and our indoor recreation center. It's a great launching point for our hiking trails and connecting paths to a the final stretch of the famous Long Trail.

Clips & Reels Recreation Center boasts a 142-seat movie theater (with its own liquor license), a game lounge with pool tables, a sports bar, an indoor horizontal ropes course, an indoor climbing gym, and even a 9-hole Cosmic Minigolf course. Catch a movie, challenge your crew to a game of pool or mini putts, or cool off indoors after a day outside. Rain or shine, Clips & Reels has you covered.

Tramside

Hotel Jay has it all. Studios and suites are equipped with kitchenettes or kitchens, Wi-Fi, HD flat-screen TVs, air conditioning, free guest lockers, and big views of the mountain and valleys, walking distance to our Aerial Tram, mountain bike rentals, and our 18-hole Disc Golf Course. Oh, and downstairs? The Pump House, our 60,000 sq. ft. indoor waterpark awaits, along with the Foundry Pub and Grille, Elevation 1851' Family Arcade, Buddy's Mug Coffee Shop, and Mountain Dick's Pizzeria. We've even managed to replicate the old Hotel Jay Family Room where you can stretch your legs, watch some TV, and review the day.

The Tram Haus Lodge is all Jay. From the locally crafted materials to the feeling you get when you walk through the porte cochere, there's no other way to describe it. It's been designed to be part of the mountain but also created so the mountain is a part of it. Expertly built with a dedicated team of Vermont craftsmen, the Tram Haus Lodge uses recycled and re-imagined parts and pieces from the mountain and neighboring towns to pay tribute to our illustrious history and heritage. Comfortable, welcoming, and dare we say cozy, our 57-suite hotel offers state-of-the-art facilities, and mountainside accommodations. You’ll also have easy access to Alice’s Table Restaurant, The Tower Bar, and Taiga Spa-just downstairs. Both hotels are a short walk to our 18-hole Championship Golf Course and Clubhouse Grille, where we host our weekly Wood Fired Fridays and live music through the summer and fall.
