As the white of the snow fades and the mountain transitions to lush green, we reflect on the folks who kept our heads above the snow. The Storm Crew. Through wild winter season with seemingly endless storms and record snowfall, these are the folks who faced each barrage of blizzards head-on. Through pathways, piles, stairs and sidewalks, digging us out shovel by shovel, the Storm Crew rallied behind each relentless winter reset, like something out of the movie Groundhog Day. This would have been a fun parody to explore, but we decided to honor their efforts with an homage to the cultural zeitgeist and classic man-versus-nature story of Cast Away, with a reimagined take through the Storm Crew's lens. Beneath the absurdity, the conversations with a snowman, and the questionable math is a sincere thank you to the team that took on one of the snowiest seasons in Jay Peak history and dug us out every step of the way.
