Last summer, we decided a surf competition made perfect sense in Northern Vermont, provided we kept it indoors.

The first-ever The Drop In took over the Double Barrel FlowRider inside the Pump House on August 16, 2025, bringing kids, teens and adults onto the wave for an afternoon of competition, prizes, podiums and the occasional reminder that moving water has a pretty effective way of keeping egos in check. Entry was open to riders of all abilities, with Summer Surf Series participants competing for free and spectators welcome to watch from the deck.
