Jay Peak Resort Announces ‘Scenic Route Weekends’ Fall Festival Series
JAY PEAK, Vt. – September 02, 2026 – Jay Peak Resort will host Scenic Route Weekends, a new series inviting guests to spend three Saturdays in the middle of Vermont’s fall foliage season. Events will take place September 26, October 3 and October 10, 2026.
Activities will be centered around the resort’s Tramside Base Area, primarily near The Foundry and Miso Flats, and will include scenic Tram rides, cider pressing, pumpkin painting, hot doughnuts, hot cider, horse-drawn carriage rides, guided foliage walks, fall photo opportunities, lawn games and other family activities.
Daytime activities will run from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. Scenic Route activities will be available for individual purchase or included with an accompanying lodging package.
Kane Sugaring Outfit will join the resort for each Saturday event. The Kane family, who also participate in Jay Peak’s annual Temps des Sucres celebration, will lead guest cider pressing and offer hot doughnuts, cider, apples, pumpkins and maple products. Pumpkin painting will also be available while supplies last.
The Kingdom's Horse Drawn Wagon & Sleigh Rides, based in Brownington Center, Vermont, will also join Jay Peak throughout the series, offering horse-drawn carriage rides around the Tramside Base Area.
Jay Peak’s Aerial Tram will operate during Scenic Route Weekends, weather permitting, providing guests with scenic rides to the summit during Vermont’s fall foliage season. The Tram is Vermont’s only aerial tramway and provides views across the Northeast Kingdom and into neighboring Quebec.
Guests looking to keep moving at ground level can join guided foliage walks around the resort’s snowmaking pond, with stops highlighting trees, the surrounding landscape and the fall character of Jay Peak and the Northeast Kingdom. Horse-drawn carriage rides, lawn games and seasonal photo stops will also be available throughout the Tramside Base Area.
Each Saturday will also feature live music outside on the Eleven Patio with performances from Shane Goodwin, The Miller Brothers and Seth Yacovone spaced across the series.
Overnight packages are available at Hotel Jay and Tram Haus Lodge and include Friday and Saturday night lodging, Saturday Scenic Route activities and scenic Tram rides on both Saturday and Sunday. Guests can choose from packages starting at $179 per night. Both Friday and Saturday nights are required.
