Originally built in the late 1800’s as a one-room schoolhouse to teach the local farming community’s children, The Belfry still stands over a century later and has become an iconic stop for visitors exploring the area. The warm atmosphere flows through the building thanks to an abundance of memorabilia (each piece with its own unique story), beautiful stained glass window art, vintage school bench seats, cozy booths and a welcoming bar with at least a few friendly local frequenters sitting on their usual stools. Located eleven minutes from the resort on Rte. 242 in Montgomery, The Belfry sits conveniently close to both the resort and the center of town.
