Dear Jay Peak Season Passholders (and associated diehards who the spirit still moves),
We’ve received hundreds of calls, emails and social posts pertaining to late season and I wanted to offer a quick update to make sure folks know where we stand with respect to late season operations.
We’re still open. We’ll still be open this weekend, then we’ll be open daily right through to April 28th. We’ll close from April 29th-May 3rd and then we’ll do our best to open that first weekend in May. After that, we’re going to play it by ear and see what’s what. If we still have the snow (and with what’s approaching 425” and the most snow in eastern North America, that part of the equation feels awfully viable), and we still have some quantifiable measure of interest, we’ll continue to push it. We may scale back some operations to keep our net losses somewhat manageable but that’s our issue, not yours. So keep an eye on jaypeakresort.com and we’ll do our best to let you know what will be happening with respect to discounted lift tickets, available terrain and forecasts, with a more exact point, over the coming days.
Despite some off and on rain in the forecast this Fri-Sat, last night’s 4-6” and the 410” or so that fell before it, we’re assured to have plenty of snow and terrain as we head into next week. So if you haven’t yet had your fill, we’ll be here.
