It's not every day you can stop in for a delectable dish, get your winter gear tuned and roll out on a fatbike rental all in one place. Welcome to the Blue Bike Cafe and The Jay Cloud Cyclery, two places in shared spaces that naturally feel like one cohesive, locally laid-back experience. In 2018 cafe owners David Bott and Becky Johnston teamed up with their longtime friend Ethan Dull, owner and operator of the Jay Cloud Cyclery, to revive an historical building and offer their own flavor to Montgomery's Main Street as a bike shop cafe. Upon entering, some of the first pieces you'll notice are the high ceiling and wrap around balcony resembling a speakeasy from a time gone by. Vintage vanity lights cast a warm glow over the prominent marble bar that features retired soda pumps you'd find in a 1950s ice cream parlor. The place is unique to say the least, and it sits right on the bank of the Trout River with a new back deck and picnic tables to enjoy the scenery come summertime.

Blue Bike Cafe:
The cafe offers a full bar of cocktails but their claim to fame is the vast selection of microbrews including IPAs, DIPAs, stouts, Goses, sessions, ciders and more. The food is fresh, and you really can't go wrong with anything on there breakfast and lunch menus. If you find yourself there on a Sunday, we recommend trying one of their Eggs Benedict specials. Friday nights feature live music from 6:00-9:00pm by local and regional artists, while the cafe switches over to a special Mexican menu including tacos, burritos, nacho plates and additional rotating items. Jay Cloud Cyclery
Ethan's bike shop offers sales, rentals, service and repairs for all types of bikes. New this year, they also provide precision ski and snowboard tuning. The staff's expert knowledge is backed by 15 years of experience, and they're happy to help with any of your snow, dirt or gravel based adventures. The shop includes bikes, clothing, accessories, and parts to meet any cyclist's needs.
