JAY PEAK, Vt. — [February 2, 2026 ] — Jay Peak Resort invites the community to come together for a weekend rooted in purpose, music, and mountain culture with two back-to-back fundraising events supporting cancer research and youth access to the outdoors.
The weekend begins Saturday, February 28, 2026, with A Night For Nick in the Foeger Ballroom, followed by the 16th Annual Hope On The Slopes on Sunday, March 1, 2026, benefitting the American Cancer Society.
A Night for Nick
A Night For Nick returns with live music from Rigometrics, one of the Northeast’s most dynamic rising bands. Their sound blends classic rock soul, funk and blues grit, indie hooks, and modern alternative energy, creating a high-impact live show built to move a room.
The evening also includes a silent auction benefitting the Reeno Foundation, established in memory of Nick Ruschmeyer (1989–2020). Nick was a beloved member of the Jay Peak community whose passion for the outdoors continues through Reeno’s mission: helping youth and young adults access challenging, meaningful outdoor experiences.
The Reeno Foundation provides four types of scholarships supporting youth outdoor experiences, outdoor education students, aspiring mountain guides, and group-based experiential programs. These opportunities are made possible through fundraising events, in-kind donations, and the continued support of Nick’s friends and family.

16th Annual Hope On The Slopes
Hope On The Slopes returns for its 16th year, uniting skiers, riders, volunteers, and supporters in the fight against cancer. Participants gather to honor survivors, remember loved ones, spread awareness, and raise funds to support the life-saving work of the American Cancer Society.
All funds raised go 100% directly to the American Cancer Society.
Event Schedule Highlights:
Sunday, March 1, 2026. Day-of registration and bag drop begin at 7:30am in the International Room. A bake sale runs in the Tramside Cafeteria starting at 8:30am while supplies last. From 10:00am–2:00pm, rubber ducks will be sold at the Pump House Indoor Waterpark for the 11th Annual Duck Race at 3:00pm. A benefit auction runs from 10:00am–4:30pm in the Tramside Cafeteria.
Participants will gather at 3:45pm for the Intention Run, riding the Metro chairlift and skiing down Interstate at 4:00pm. The day wraps with an awards ceremony, free buffet dinner, and live music at 5:00pm in the International Room.
All participants are required to sign a Jay Peak waiver.
Together, these two events reflect what Jay Peak does best: blending mountain culture, music, community, and purpose into something that lasts well beyond the weekend.
