Benefit Hockey Game for USBP Agent David "Chris" Maland
In honor of Agent Maland—a dedicated canine handler with the US Border Patrol who tragically lost his life protecting our community—Jay Peak is proud to host a benefit hockey game to support his family.
Event Details
Join us for an exciting match as USBP Agents take on the Local Police Department in a spirited benefit hockey game. This heartfelt event is hosted by Jay Peak in partnership with the friends and family of Agent David "Chris" Maland.
Highlights Include:
- The Game: A competitive match featuring USBP Agents vs. Local PD.
- Silent Auction: Browse a silent auction prizes include NHL Jerseys, Gift Cards to local businesses, Swag & Merch from local businesses.
- 50/50 Raffle: try your luck in the 50/50 raffle.
- Free Admission: Everyone is welcome to attend free of charge.
- All proceeds will directly benefit the Maland family.
Schedule
- Pre-Game: Doors open prior to game. (arrive early to get settled and browse the silent auction items)
- Puck Drop: 4:00 PM – Benefit Hockey Match begins
- During the Game: Silent Auction and 50/50 Raffle (details to be announced during intermission)
- Post-Game: Wrap-up remarks and an opportunity for Q&A with event organizers (exact timing subject to game flow)

This benefit event is a tribute to the sacrifice of Agent Maland, who served our community with honor and courage. Your participation not only celebrates his legacy but also provides vital support to his family during this difficult time.
PARKING: Due to extreme interest in this event, and other events ongoing at Jay Peak Resort, parking for the hockey game is located at the Inglenook Lodge.
- Please look for signs directing you to the Parking Area.
- This is east(Jay village side) of the main Resort entrance on VT Rte 242.
