Unemployment Update 05/10/2021
Good morning all,
We have been made aware of a widespread issue affecting unemployment claimants in which benefit determination amounts may be reflecting as potentially reduced, or in some cases zero, resulting in smaller UI funds than anticipated.
The error is as a result of wage file contributions, filed by Paychex, failing to upload correctly. The Department of Labor is now aware of this issue affecting all Jay Peak and Burke Mountain employees and is manually entering wages into their system today. Once your individual hours are updated, your benefit will be recalculated. They have confirmed for us that nothing further is needed by the employee at this time.
If you receive a Monetary Determination form that appears to be incorrect, please reach out to HR immediately at hr@jaypeakresort.com so we may research this for you.
