Summer Surf Lesson Series

Some people take summer off.
Others take it head-on.

We've got your chance to ride, get better, flail a little and maybe even walk away with bragging rights. Whether you're brand new to the FlowRider or out to impress, this series sets you up with the tools—and the wave—to get there. Sign up for 8 private lessons, ride all summer, and when August rolls around, gain free entry to THE DROP IN, Jay Peak's new surf competition.

MEET THE PROS

MICHAEL FITZPATRICK

Coach | Master’s Flow Tour Medalist

Mike Fitzpatrick has been riding since 2011 and coaching since 2016—earning medals, mentoring champs, and hyping the next heat. A steady force in the Masters division, he’s more about building the sport than showboating. Mike’s crew-first mindset shows in his coaching, especially with Monica Caffrey, who’s landed multiple USA Tour wins and international silver. He builds confidence, not just runs—and he’s in it for the long game.

MICHAEL CAFFREY

Coach | Master’s Flow Tour Champion

Michael Caffrey has been riding in style since 2011. A technician and tactician, he fine-tuned his form for over a decade—earning a 2024 Masters Flow Tour title. But his biggest impact may be behind the scenes. As coach to pro rider Monica Caffrey (his daughter), his influence shows up on global podiums. A quiet force in the sport’s growth, Michael’s legacy is built on clean lines, sharp insight, and years in the splash zone.

MONICA CAFFREY

Instructor | Professional Flow Tour Champion

Monica Caffrey didn’t grow up near an ocean—but that didn’t stop her from becoming the top-ranked female flowboarder in the U.S. (and #2 in the world). Raised at Jay Peak, she brought a mountain-town edge to a water-born sport. Fast, fluid, and fearless, Monica’s more than a rider—she’s a mentor, a champion, and proof that big dreams don’t need big coastlines. With multiple USA Tour wins and international silver, she’s just getting started.

MICHAEL PAPPALARDO

INSTRUCTOR | Flow Dog Founder & Community Builder

Michael Pappalardo rode his first wave in 2010 and hasn’t stopped building. In 2011, he launched Flow Dogs—now one of the sport’s most connected communities. He’s podiumed across tour stops, but his real impact: pushing talent, connecting people, and shaping how the sport grows—and who gets to ride.
