Operations Update - March 27th, 2020

Thank You, Summer Vacations, 2020+21 Season Passes and More

DEAR JAY PEAKERS,

I wanted to fill you in on what’s happening around these parts, what isn’t necessarily happening - at least for now - and what you might expect from us going forward.

If I haven’t thanked you personally already, and on behalf of the entire team here, we appreciate your support through this difficult stretch. In emails, social comments and phone calls, support for the difficult decisions we’ve made has meant a lot to all of us here at Jay Peak  While we’re still eyeing a Spring/Summer reopen date of May 1st, the nature and spread of COVID-19 is such that plans and schedules seem to be changing daily.  We’ll do our best to keep you in the loop as those schedules continue to evolve.  At present, our Raised Jay Summer Camps are all still filling up and planning to happen as scheduled, as are our Music Events, Ice Haus Hockey Tournaments, and Pump House Indoor Waterpark reopening. We have just finished a thorough bottom to top cleaning of all of our facilities and look forward to seeing you back here when the dust settles.

While we are presently taking reservations for Spring and Summer vacations to Jay Peak, we are introducing a no-questions-asked, full refund policy immediately.  Any vacations booked for this Spring and Summer can be cancelled for a full refund or full deferment right up and until your check-in date.  We realize and acknowledge the uncertainty you’re experiencing and want to make the process as manageable as possible for you.

We are approaching 2020+21 Jay Peak Season Pass sales in a similar fashion.  We are moving the deadline for our most discounted, early-season rates out from May 15th to June 8th.  As well, for the first time, we will be allowing for a full-refund or deferment, for any reason, through October 1st.  Lastly, when you purchase by June 8th, we will simply charge a $25 holding fee that will be applied against the full price of your pass and, following that, we won’t charge your credit card for the remaining amount for 60 days.  We’re hoping this gives you the ability to secure your early rate now with the flexibility to cancel your pass purchase should your personal situation warrant. Canadian guests will also have access to this new, more flexible plan but the details will be slightly different. For more information and to purchase, please visit: jaypeakresort.com/seasonpass.

We have also added a Frequently Asked Questions page to jaypeakresort.com which talks about what we’ll be doing for 2019+20 Jay Peak Season Passholders who lost access to the last month of the season, what we’re doing for folks who have 2019+20 complimentary or purchased tickets, lodging refund policies and any pre-purchased products that you still have in your possession.  If you have further questions, you can contact me directly at swright@jaypeakresort.com and I’ll do my best to help.

Again, on behalf of the team here we appreciate your support through this and hope you and your family are, and continue to be, safe.  We’re looking forward to getting Summer underway and will stay in touch with you, through every channel we can, throughout that process.

Best personal regards,

Steve Wright
