Welcome to opening weekend for the 2020+21 ski and ride season
Given the ever-changing environment and how we are seeing the number of COVID cases increase in our immediate area, we wanted to share a few important reminders. Individually, each of us plays a critical role in preventing the spread of the virus within the Jay Peak community.
- Wear a mask over your mouth and nose when you are with other people, whether indoors or outdoors.
- Maintain physical distancing of at least 6 feet, more when possible
- Avoid being in close proximity (<6’) (while at work, and outside of work when possible) for more than 15 min (which can be cumulative) over a 24-hour period
- Avoid in person meetings and avoid dropping into someone’s office unless it is absolutely necessary. Working by teleconference meetings or by phone is preferred.
- Wash your hands as often as possible and sanitize your work environment often.
- DO NOT come to work if you have any COVID related symptoms, or if you have been exposed to someone who has tested positive for COVID.
- If you have symptoms, please wait until you have been symptom free for at least 24 hours without any fever reducing medication, before returning to work. Persistent symptoms that last more than 24 hours will need to be evaluated by a healthcare provider prior to return.

Any reported cases of close contact or positive test results will be managed as per the guidance of the Department of Health. We will take immediate steps, upon notification, to alert close contacts or those who may have worked in close proximity of someone who has tested positive. Please know that privacy guidelines prevent us from sharing names or personal details of those who have, and our ultimate concern is the safety of all our team members, and we will work to notify everyone affected as quickly as possible.
