Operations Update - April 6th, 2020

DEAR JAY PEAKERS,

I hope all of you are safe with your families and supporting each other as you can. I wanted to share a few updates on our summer operations and what we've been working on this past week.

PROJECTED SUMMER RE-OPENING

We had initially hoped for a May 1st re-opening for summer operations but with the latest shelter-at-home order extending to April 30th, that is no longer a reasonable target. We are now working to a June 5th re-open date for Golf, Waterpark, and other summer activities. One thing that has not yet changed is our Summer Music schedule. Since all our event dates fall into July or later, there have been no adjustments thus far.

All summer plans will continue to be informed by details coming from the CDC and the Vermont Department of Health.

DOING WHAT WE CAN

The resort and those that work here are, obviously, not the only people impacted by the present environment. On behalf of the entire Jay Peak family, we are doing what we can to support our neighbors as well as those fighting the virus across further, though more frontal, lines.

www.gogglesfordocs.com: We donated 120 goggles to NY, VT and MA hospitals and since sharing on social, have seen our community jump in to help too. The reaction and generosity has been amazing, although we can’t say we were surprised given the community we live and work in. If you haven’t had a chance already, I’d encourage you to click through to see if you may be able to help on an individual level as well.

Jay Food Shelf: Our Food & Beverage team, led by Chris Clements, has been working hard to secure our food supplies and also share out what we can to both international staff here on property and the Jay Food Shelf which distributes food to Jay, Westfield, Troy, North Troy and Lowell. This week, we delivered several thousand dollars worth of food to the Shelf which was in need given the current circumstances. Next week we
will be making another delivery, this time to the Montgomery Elementary School which is providing daily food support for the area as well.

That’s it for this week. We’ll send out other updates as needed. Please be safe and stay in touch.
