APRIL 2024 - NATIONAL HUMOR MONTH

April has long since  been known for making fools out of us. Appropriately, our benefits brokers at GBS set this month's Wellness focus to be on Harnessing Humor. National Humor Month was created to increase awareness on the therapeutic value of humor. Laugh, humor, and joy lead to improvements in well-being, boosted morale, increased communication, and an overall enriched quality of life. Kick this month off with these ideas to celebrate Humor Month:

  • April 1st: The perfect time to exercise your "funny bone" with family, coworkers, and friends.
  • April 2nd: Watch your favorite funny movie today.
  • April 3rd: Ask a coworker about the funniest thing that has happened to them on the job.
  • April 4th: Start your day off with a fun "Would you rather..." question with your coworkers.
  • April 5th: Eat lunch with your non-dominant hand today, and encourage a coworker to also.

These activities are sure to bring a smile to your face, as well as to those around you that you choose to share them with.
