Some team members not only do their job but they shape the way this place feels in the process. They show up ready, shift after shift, and consistently deliver the kind of experience that keeps guests coming back. This monthly recognition is our way of celebrating those steady standouts who lead by example, carry the culture, and bring their best every day.
Nominations come from fellow team members and managers alike, and the more specific you can be when shouting someone out, the better. Each month, we’ll announce finalists and the winner at the all-staff meeting.
One winner will be chosen each month, and both the finalists and the winner will be acknowledged at the monthly staff meeting. The winner will get a place on the Hotel Jay wall and receive a package of resort prizes including things like:

I would like to nominate Jenn Stelma for Employee of the Month in recognition of her outstanding work as a Wedding and Sales Event Coordinator. Jenn always goes above and beyond to ensure clients have an exceptional experience from start to finish.
Her professionalism, organization, and attention to detail make her an invaluable part of the team. Jenn handles multiple events and client relationships with grace and efficiency, always maintaining a positive attitude even under pressure. She has a natural ability to connect with those around her making planning and execution a smooth process.
Jenn’s dedication to customer service is reflected in the positive feedback she regularly receives. I constantly have people coming to the desk praising her and the wedding teams work. She works tirelessly to create memorable experiences while also contributing to the success of the sales team through her strong communication skills, follow-through, and commitment to excellence.
This weekends wedding included changes and shifts throughout the weekend while Jenn ensured communication was strong across departments. She called me on her way into work to notify me the mother of the bride would we dropping things off, touched base again as soon as she got into work and when the weather didn't work out for the original ceremony location, she shifted and immediately let us know. The signage her and our wedding teams create was updated almost immediately which helps us and guests feel reassured and confident.
Jenn exemplifies some of the qualities I value most and is highly deserving of this recognition.
